It\u2019s been so cold lately that the snow was light and powdery, making it easy to clear off the truck. The tricky part was getting out of the driveway, but the new tires on the truck made all the difference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dylan had a two-hour school delay, and after seeing the roads on the way to work, it made sense. While most of the roads were clear, some areas had snowdrifts that turned into icy patches. The worst part? You couldn\u2019t tell where those spots were until it was too late. Driving became a game of holding your breath and hoping for the best.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Preparing for Sasha\u2019s Vet Visit<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tomorrow I\u2019m only working until noon so we can take Sasha to the vet. My gut tells me they might keep her overnight to get a urine sample\u2014there\u2019s no way we could manage it ourselves. That pup is sneaky! Ironically, a snowstorm is expected tomorrow, just like the last time we took Sasha to the vet. It\u2019s becoming a pattern!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Engine Light Saga<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On my way home, the truck\u2019s engine light came on. My mind immediately went to the old \u201cidiot lights\u201d from older vehicles, which only warned you when it was already too late. I checked all the gauges\u2014oil, temp, battery, tire pressure\u2014and everything looked fine. Knowing the truck\u2019s history, something minor like an oil change could trigger the light. Unfortunately, the touch screen isn\u2019t working due to the cold (14\u00b0F!), so I\u2019ll have to wait for it to warm up to check the maintenance messages. If the light doesn\u2019t turn off soon, I\u2019ll take it to the shop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A Pleasant Surprise and Tonight\u2019s Plans<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When I got home, I was greeted by a plowed driveway. The best part? I didn\u2019t even contact the guy to do it! I messaged him to thank him, and he said he\u2019d pick up payment next time. This guy is on top of things, and I\u2019m glad to have someone so reliable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tonight, I\u2019ll focus on improving our Twitch homepage. There are plenty of areas that need updates and cleanup. Tuesdays are typically slow for us, so it\u2019s the perfect time to knock out some of this work. I also ordered more goodies off Amazon (yes, even more than what we ordered on the stream), which should arrive this and next week.
