Waking Up to Freezing Temps<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

This morning, we woke up to freezing temps<\/strong> of -11\u00b0F<\/strong>\u2014not exactly the warmest way to start the day! The first floor felt like an icebox, which always happens when temperatures drop below 10\u00b0F<\/strong>. Even though it\u2019s still cold, things are much better than when we first moved in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our first winter in this house was brutal. The furnace ran non-stop<\/strong>, and if the temperature outside dipped below 40\u00b0F<\/strong>, the indoor temperature started to drop too<\/strong>. Thankfully, the work we\u2019ve done to improve insulation is helping. We still have a long way to go, but it\u2019s progress!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Truck Update: A Small Win in Freezing Temps<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Starting the truck today came with a pleasant surprise<\/strong>\u2014the engine light turned off<\/strong>. It\u2019s a relief, but I\u2019m still keeping a close eye on it<\/strong>. The truck is our lifeline in these freezing temps<\/strong>, and with how much we rely on it, I\u2019ll still be getting it checked out soon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
