Snowstorm Shut Down Our Stream<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Last night\u2019s snowstorm<\/strong> made streaming a challenge. We had brownouts<\/strong>, and one was so bad that it rebooted our computers<\/strong>. That was our sign to call it a night<\/strong>. Instead of fighting the storm, we spent the rest of the evening giving the pup pups some much-needed attention<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Waking Up to a Winter Wonderland<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

This morning, I stepped outside to a true winter wonderland<\/strong>. Everything was covered in a blanket of fluffy snow<\/strong>, making it look like a scene straight out of a fairy tale<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unfortunately, the driveway is a mess again<\/strong>. It\u2019ll be a few days before I can get it plowed. Thank God for 4-wheel drive<\/strong>\u2014but knowing my luck, I\u2019ll be the only person in town who gets stuck in their own driveway<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Training the Pups to Use Their Indoor Yard<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The new indoor yard<\/strong> is still an adjustment for the pups. So far, they haven\u2019t really used it<\/strong>. Little Man<\/strong> decided it was a great place to nap<\/strong>, turning it into a giant doggy bed<\/strong> instead! Training takes time, so we\u2019ll keep working on it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tonight, Sasha and Rusty will both need their meds<\/strong>, so that\u2019ll be on the list of things to take care of.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Fun Unity Project: Coin Pusher Game for Twitch<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019m not sure how much progress I lost in Unity<\/strong> after the power issues<\/strong>, but honestly, I was already struggling with Unity\u2019s physics engine. So, even if I lost the whole scene, it\u2019s not a big deal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The idea I was working on? A Twitch-integrated coin pusher machine<\/strong>. Instead of using real coins, viewers could interact using bits and channel points<\/strong>. Obviously, there wouldn\u2019t be big cash payouts like real arcade versions, but a leaderboard system<\/strong> could make it fun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Not sure if I can actually get it working, so don\u2019t hold your breath<\/strong>\u2014but it\u2019s a cool programming challenge, and that\u2019s what makes it fun!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
