Blizzard Incoming: Another Brutal North Country Night<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Just another cold and brutal winter night<\/strong> in the North Country<\/strong>. But tomorrow morning, from what I\u2019m hearing, we\u2019re in for a blizzard<\/strong>. That should make the ride to work fun<\/strong>\u2014nothing like navigating whiteout conditions first thing in the morning!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For now, we\u2019re keeping warm. All the pups are in the streaming room<\/strong>, enjoying the heater and staying nice and toasty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New Camera and Stream Upgrades<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Today, our new camera arrived<\/strong>! It\u2019s an AKASO EK7000<\/strong>\u2014basically a GoPro alternative<\/strong>, but much cheaper. Along with that, we got some other goodies<\/strong> to improve the stream.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Streaming is always an ongoing battle for improvement<\/strong>, and since we\u2019re just getting back into it, the only way to go is up<\/strong>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Power Supply Issues and the Struggles of Getting PC Parts<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

One issue we need to deal with soon\u2014my power supply is making noise<\/strong>. Sounds like the bearing is going out<\/strong>, so you might hear it on stream (sorry about that!).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The problem with living in the North Country<\/strong>? You can\u2019t just pop around the corner<\/strong> and grab a new power supply. You have to order it and wait a week or two<\/strong>. First, we\u2019ll see how much it costs<\/strong>\u2014might need to take my PC out back and put it down<\/strong> if it\u2019s too expensive. \ud83d\ude02<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unity vs. Subnautica: What\u2019s the Plan for Tonight?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Last night, I planned to work on Unity<\/strong>, but I got sidetracked<\/strong> playing Subnautica Below Zero<\/strong> with the family. No regrets\u2014it was a blast!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tonight, I\u2019m hoping to get back into Unity<\/strong>, but we also have new toys to test<\/strong> and stream setup improvements<\/strong> to make. After a long workday, sometimes you just need to kick back and relax<\/strong>, so we\u2019ll see how things go.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
