Delayed Amazon Order and Life Up North<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Thanks to the weather, our Amazon order is delayed by a day<\/strong>\u2014or at least, that\u2019s what they\u2019re saying for now. Hopefully, it\u2019s just one day, but living up north, you never really know.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you\u2019re used to next-day Amazon shipping<\/strong>, that\u2019s not how it works up here. The fastest we get anything is a week, maybe two<\/strong>. But honestly, it\u2019s a fair trade. What we get in return\u2014fresh air, wildlife, safety, and a strong sense of community<\/strong>\u2014makes it worth the wait. I wouldn\u2019t trade it for anything.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Streaming PC Issues: Time for an Upgrade?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Last night, OBS crashed<\/strong> mid-stream. We were back up in a few minutes<\/strong>, but it\u2019s clear that my streaming PC is at its limit<\/strong>. It\u2019s an older system<\/strong> that\u2019s barely limping along at this point.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Right now, if I stream and play a game at the same time<\/strong>, the bit games in Unity don\u2019t run well<\/strong>. That leaves me with two choices:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  1. Drop a ton of cash on a powerful new PC.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Revive my old streaming computer and move everything over.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    We\u2019ve had a dual-PC setup before<\/strong>, but when we restarted the stream, I kept it simple and set everything up on my main PC<\/strong>. Now, I might need to switch back<\/strong>. If things look a little weird on stream tonight, you\u2019ll know why\u2014we might be in the middle of a full streaming PC migration<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Testing a DMCA-Free Music Solution<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    We\u2019ve been searching for a good music solution<\/strong> for the stream. Tonight, we\u2019re going to test a DMCA-free, Twitch- and YouTube-safe stream from Spotify<\/strong>. Let\u2019s see how that goes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Pup Updates and Vet Calls<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    The pups are doing great, but I still haven\u2019t been able to contact the vet<\/strong>. Work was too busy today, and every time I tried to call, something interrupted me. Rusty is the only one still needing his meds<\/strong>, so I\u2019ll make sure to get in touch with the vet soon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Time to Get Set Up<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    Now it\u2019s time to start getting things ready for the stream<\/strong>. Looking forward to testing the new music setup<\/strong> and possibly switching over to the new streaming PC<\/strong>. See you all soon!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
