Ever feel like applying for jobs is a full-time job itself? Welcome to the job seeker\u2019s nightmare. You polish your resume, hit \u201capply\u201d hundreds of times, and what do you get? Crickets. Unless you count the friendly scammer who insists you\u2019ve just been hired as a \u201cremote package quality inspector\u201d for $5,000 a week. (Sure, Karen. Totally legit.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, every time I scroll through LinkedIn, I see thousands<\/em> of people looking for work\u2014and at the same time, thousands<\/em> of jobs being posted. You\u2019d think the math would cancel out, right? Job seekers + jobs = problem solved. But nope. It\u2019s like the universe set up a giant dating app where nobody ever swipes right.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019ve applied to plenty of roles where my skills matched 100%\u2014the ones that made me think, \u201cThis is it. This is The One.\u201d Great pay, great fit\u2026 and then? Ghosted. Not even a courtesy \u201cthanks but no thanks.\u201d Just me, refreshing my inbox like it owes me money.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Life goes on.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

And while the inbox stays empty, life doesn\u2019t. The mortgage is still due, the utility bills keep rolling in, the grocery list is longer than the Dead Sea Scrolls, and I\u2019ve got kids (and a pack of elderly, slightly abused chihuahuas I rescued.) depending on me. If you\u2019ve ever been barked at by a 5-pound dog demanding dinner while you stare at your bank account, you know what motivation feels like.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But here\u2019s the thing\u2014I do<\/em> keep moving forward. Because one day, a company is going to look past the stack of resumes and realize I\u2019m a diamond in the rough. (Not a cubic zirconia, thank you very much.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Until then, I\u2019ll keep applying, keep laughing, and keep the coffee flowing. If you\u2019re a company that needs someone who blends IT leadership, cybersecurity, and a knack for managing chaos (and chihuahuas), I\u2019d love to chat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
