Part of my daily job hunt routine is sitting down at my computer, heading to LinkedIn, setting my filters, and working through the listings. With the instant apply option, you\u2019re allowed 50 a day, so I knock those out first before moving on to other applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I don\u2019t apply to everything, just the jobs where I\u2019m at least a medium match or better. Normally, I\u2019ll find two or three that list me as a \u201cperfect match.\u201d But today was different: I hit 40 jobs<\/strong> that said I\u2019d be a top applicant<\/em>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, after hitting my 50 limit, I kept going, saving more to apply to tomorrow. I stopped at 150. And here\u2019s the strange part: I haven\u2019t touched my LinkedIn profile or edited my resume at all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then, things got interesting. I got an email about consulting for an investment company, a few calls that would pay $300\u2013$500 an hour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And then the big one: an email inviting me to interview for what I\u2019d call my DREAM job<\/strong>. It\u2019s close to where I live, I love what they do, the role fits me perfectly, and the pay is solid. Honestly, if money weren\u2019t a concern, I\u2019d do the work for free (but don\u2019t tell them that! \ud83d\ude02).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Of course, I\u2019m from the Show Me State<\/em>, so none of this means much until something actually comes of it. I won\u2019t believe any of it until I see that first paycheck.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Still, I\u2019m glad I bought a lottery ticket today. Maybe my luck will hold out!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
