Unwinding on our stream has never felt more necessary after a day like today! Winter has been throwing everything it can at us, and our parking lot is proof. Buried in snow, it’s been a struggle just to get in and out. Luckily, we finally found someone reliable to plow it tomorrow. That means no more 4-wheel drives and more space for guests!
The chaos didn’t stop there. This morning, I forgot my wallet at home and had to backtrack before heading to work. Then, when I returned home, I walked straight into a flooded bathroom caused by two clogged toilets. Thankfully, both are fixed now, but what a mess to deal with!
Our four chihuahuas also added to the fun. Sasha, recovering from a bladder infection, had an accident in bed last night. Now we’re figuring out how to get a urine sample from an 8-pound pup! Rusty is still on joint pain meds and feeling more aggressive lately, so he’s keeping us on our toes.
With the bitter northern cold and our drafty old house, days like this remind us to take the good with the bad. The silver lining? I found out I have a three-day weekend, which gives us more time to recharge.
