Another Snowstorm and a Slippery Commute
Today was an adventure! We got hit with another snowstorm, and my truck was completely buried—again. When I left for work, none of the roads had been plowed. Thankfully, 4-wheel drive and my new tires made all the difference. Even with that, I didn’t dare go over 45 mph.
At noon, I left work early to take Sasha to the vet. She got lucky and didn’t have to stay overnight. Instead, she got another round of antibiotics. Before she finishes them, the vet wants a urine sample. We still have no idea how we’re going to manage that! While we were there, we also picked up more pain meds for Rusty to make sure we don’t run out. By the time we made the long drive home, the roads had finally been cleared.
Snow, Cold, and the Never-Ending Winter
While we were at the vet, our driveway got plowed again. That makes the third time this storm alone! And with more snow expected on Friday, it feels like winter will never end.
When I opened our gas bill, I braced for the worst. With all the brutally cold weather lately, I expected a massive number. It was high, but not as bad as I feared. Good thing, too, because it’s dropping to -6°F tonight—perfect weather for staying inside and streaming!
Surprise Unboxing on Stream Tonight
Now for the fun part—we have a surprise unboxing tonight! One of our Amazon packages arrived earlier than expected, and we’ll be opening it live on stream. I haven’t decided if we’ll set it up tonight because, well, it’s freezing!
We also moved the chat and revamped the channel rewards. I gutted a lot of the old ones, but I finally have a plan for their replacements. If everything goes smoothly, I’ll start setting them up tonight.
We pushed off food shopping until tomorrow, so it’s pot pies for dinner. The pups have already had their meds, which means the only thing left to do is get ready for the stream. I’m looking forward to it!
