Freezing Temps, Rusty’s Hearing, and Stream Room Upgrades

The Cold Returns: Back to -11°F

Our short-lived heat wave is over—it’s dropping back down to -11°F tonight. After hitting a warm 27°F yesterday, this is a brutal reminder that winter isn’t done with us yet. Thankfully, we stayed inside today, so it wasn’t too much of a concern.

Small Projects and Stream Room Upgrades

Even though we didn’t go anywhere, we still got a lot done. We added a temporary stinger transition for the stream, mounted the owl sensor at the front door, and tackled a few other small projects. Stacie also did a fantastic job vacuuming—it’s amazing how much of a difference that makes!

Rusty’s Hearing and a Fun Dog Pile

We made an interesting discovery today—Rusty may be deaf. We’ve had some suspicions, but today reinforced the idea. To give him some stimulation, we took him down to the first floor and let him explore for a while. The pups had a full dog pile on the living room couch, which was a blast.

One of the highlights of the day? Hearing Buddy howl for the first time—it was absolutely adorable!

Tonight’s Plans: Stream Room Upgrades and More

Tonight, we’ll be working on stream room upgrades and showing what I do to go live. If there’s time, I’ll also be adding auto cam transitions to improve our multi-camera setup.
