Blizzard Incoming: Another Brutal North Country Night
Just another cold and brutal winter night in the North Country. But tomorrow morning, from what I’m hearing, we’re in for a blizzard. That should make the ride to work fun—nothing like navigating whiteout conditions first thing in the morning!
For now, we’re keeping warm. All the pups are in the streaming room, enjoying the heater and staying nice and toasty.
New Camera and Stream Upgrades
Today, our new camera arrived! It’s an AKASO EK7000—basically a GoPro alternative, but much cheaper. Along with that, we got some other goodies to improve the stream.
Streaming is always an ongoing battle for improvement, and since we’re just getting back into it, the only way to go is up!
Power Supply Issues and the Struggles of Getting PC Parts
One issue we need to deal with soon—my power supply is making noise. Sounds like the bearing is going out, so you might hear it on stream (sorry about that!).
The problem with living in the North Country? You can’t just pop around the corner and grab a new power supply. You have to order it and wait a week or two. First, we’ll see how much it costs—might need to take my PC out back and put it down if it’s too expensive. 😂
Unity vs. Subnautica: What’s the Plan for Tonight?
Last night, I planned to work on Unity, but I got sidetracked playing Subnautica Below Zero with the family. No regrets—it was a blast!
Tonight, I’m hoping to get back into Unity, but we also have new toys to test and stream setup improvements to make. After a long workday, sometimes you just need to kick back and relax, so we’ll see how things go.
