A Sleepless Night and a Rough Morning
Wednesday morning at 4 AM, I got a rude awakening—a work alert on my phone. After checking, I realized it didn’t involve me, but by then, I was wide awake.
I tried to get back to sleep, but at 5 AM, Stacie woke me up again, thinking I had slept through my alarm. Turns out, she mistook the work alert for my alarm.
Just as I finally dozed off before 6 AM, my real alarm went off. Needless to say, I was wiped. After a full day of work, I got home, sat down on the couch, and immediately fell fast asleep. That’s why we weren’t on stream last night.
Food Shopping Success and a Truck Issue
Tonight, after work, it was time for food shopping. The kids absolutely killed it—even with St. Patrick’s Day treats and some extras, we kept the bill around $150. The boys know how to find the best deals!
On the way to the store, though, I noticed the truck making a strange groaning sound. It sounds like it could be a ball joint issue. If it keeps up, I’ll take it in for a check-up.
Foot Pain and Hoping for Relief
Every winter, I get a rash on my left foot that itches like crazy and sometimes gets raw. This year, it’s been worse than ever—painful and irritating.
I picked up some cream at the store, hoping it will help calm it down because right now, all I want to do is scrub the skin off that spot.
Rusty, Dinner Plans, and Netflix Anticipation
Rusty has already had his meds, and I tried to give him a hot dog before the stream. Turns out, he hates food in his bed. LOL.
For dinner, we’re keeping it simple but tasty—chicken and fries.
And just a heads-up—tomorrow, a show I’ve been waiting months for drops on Netflix: The Electric State!
It hasn’t gotten great reviews, but I don’t care. I’m watching it for the visuals, not the storyline. It’s based on a novel by Simon Stålenhag about a post-apocalyptic world filled with robots and VR headsets. Definitely worth checking out—I’m not missing it!
