Clancy's a ham. He loves to kave his picture taken. He's al- ready appeared in the Clarkson yearbook, the Clarksonian, and the official fraternity picture, but of course Clancy insists that that's all part of his duty as of- fP.al mascot for Lambda Iota Fraternity, 30 Elm St.

Other than having his picture taken, Clancy's duties as mascot include walking the new freshman at the house and letting them help him with his bath. Clancy is an old hand around the house since he's been at Clarkson for two semesters now, but he still hasn't been through hell week and he's looking forward to this year's week about the middle of October.

Clancy has been with Lambda Iota since January. He was raised on a farm and given to the frat by Phil Colburn. When the Colburn's moved to the city last year, Clancy decided he'd like a change of scene and so he moved in to the fraternity.

Clancy ran around a lot last summer when most of the other fellows around the house had gone home, but now that school has started again, he's had to get back in harness and like the rest of the boys he's "hitting the books."

But more than anything, Clancy loves to eat. He gets his regular meals, dog food of course, at the house like the rest of the fellows. But, sometimes a man, whoops I mean a dog, just has I to have a snack between meals. For his snack, Clancy can be I found down at Loblaw's staring at the meat counter or the dog I food display waiting for service.

Another of Clancy's favorite hangouts for a handout, is Mc- Manus's. Clancy loves to stop in with the fellows. Though, a frat brother of his explained, "he's an awful table-hopper. He'll stop at every table in the place," his brother said, "if he thinks he can get something to eat."

Clancy hasn't had any trouble keeping his school boy figure, though. He's one of those lucky dogs that never seems to put on weight. He's strong as a bull and he figures he keeps in shape by running around a lot.

Most people around town know Clancy and most of them like him. With people he's friendly, : tender-hearted and easy to get | along with, but with the dogs he's ' got to be king. He's been known to chew up other dogs who contested his right to be boss.

The other fellows at the frat 1 think that Clancy is a great mas- I cot and that he has adjusted to I fraternity life very well after | being raised in the country.

And Clancy? Well he was too busy with his favorite activity, chewing on a bone, to have much to say on the subject.
