SIGMA DELTA: The Fall House Party is over and a great time was reported by all . . . Judging from the weather, winter has come to Potsdam, and with it, the winter intramural sports of bowling and basketball. John McGrory and Bill Young were appointed captains of the basketball and bowling teams, respectively .. . Speaking of sports the football team\ wound up its season with vh:tories over Karma and Theta Chi. The soccer team concludes its schedule Friday against Karma ... It may not be spring but love is in the air. Vince Doria and Tom Smith pinned Ruth Loring and Pat Russell, respective- ly. Congratulations . . . Chuck Palmer and Barry Trevor seem to be headed in the same diretcion, if Barry's visits to the dorms and Chuck's visits to Canton are any indication ... A hearing aid for Phil Filiatreau was voted down by the men at table 4 because of the too great expense . . . O PI O: The house is now back to normal after a tremendous weekend. Many fellows are sug- gesting a house party week . . . Chuck's haircut admired by many girls . . . Skip and Joan in complete harmony. I can hear wedding bells that are not too far away. . . Roy is sad on Monday morning but gets progressively better Until • Friday when he is almost in complete ec- stasy. Could it be because : he gets to see his girl on Friday and leaves her Sunday night . . . Ace Miller can get a date at any hour of the night almost . . . John K. going in- to the maple syrup business. He bas it figured down to a •' science - st Art's car, it's a Chevy,-won't bardly start in this cold weather. - . . Warner Friedman talking about getting up an expedition to explore the deep jungles of South America . . . George took a lot of pictures over the weekend. . Among the various articles lost during the weekend were Big I Jim's car—if found, please return to 30 Elm St! ,. .The \Sump Club\ had an impromptu meeting Saturday night, however the atmosphere just wasn't the same . , . I wonder what was missing? ..'. . The big mystery is still unsolved — where did Dutch Fry and Sid.disappear to between 3 a.m. and Sunday morn- ing? . . . The tourists room in the left hand wing of the house has closed for the season—it seems they were caught serving minors —anyway the service was pretty lousy! . . . Lobdell is really going wild now that he's a free man—he hasn't got the domesticated look on his face anymore . . . Dranichak looked like a candidate for the soccer team Saturday night—he was doing a good job booting the ball around the bartender! .. . Congratulations to Brothers Domingos, Parmele, and Thompson upon receiving bids to Tau Beta Pi . . The smell of the mats is getting too much for Hank—he's considering tearing away from his books and going back out for wrestling , . . Tillou and Poor Roger made the long trip home again last weekend, as did our illustrious boy-scullion, George K. The scenery must be terrific along the highways at this time of the year, huh ? . . . Since the blood clinic on Oct. 26, nearly all of the Kats are fairly well drained, including \Half-pint\ Martinez. Nice going, baby . . . Two of the troopers are really go- ing high-hat on us . . . SIGMA DELTA: House party weekend is coming up soon and most of the house is tightening the purse strings in anticipation of the big event. . . With the hockey season approaching, our teams will be severely hampered if those remaining games aren't played be- fore Monday . . . Congrats to Alvin Young on finally being initiated in- to the fraternity. Al's initiation was delayed by a case of the mumps, which we're glad to see finally over . . . Congratulations are also in order to Larry DeAng- elo, Bob Carr, and Art Quarter- main on being accepted as pledges . . . The' last batch of cement was poured into the cellar two weeks ago and we think it fitting that the Andre, Doria, Adams Construction Company should be congratulated on a job well done . . . THETA CHI: A week ago was the Theta Chi regional convention with stag parties, business meet- ings, banquet and a semi-formal dance at the Norwood Inn. With a loan of bunks from the school, 72 sacks were put up in the dorm to handle the multitude of guests . . , At the banquet the boys from the U. of Buffalo received a cup for the largest number present . . . Blast after blast!!! Tonight will find the Chi's and dolls drinking kickapoo juice at a \Little Abner Party\ at the house. Tomorrow we raid the Holiday Inn in Og- densburg for a banquet and dance vention . . . General George is still getting private instruction on how to drill his company. Good luck RA . . . Why is Benz now sitting in the front row of economics? . . . Our congratulations to Bruce Wolff for scoring two goals in the LeMoyne game . . . Also, we are glad to observe that Brothers Courtney and Felter have been se- lected to pledge Pi Tail Sigma, the national honorary fraternity of mechanical engineering . . . Heart breaker Dee is on the loose again now that he has found competition at her home too great for him . . . Booth gave a talk on mixing drinks in speech class—tough luck for those in-his class—no samples . . . We would like to thank the Agonian Sorority for the enjoyable time at the recent coffee hour, . . Ex-pledge Chuck Keys made the big step in Massena on Oct. 23. He married Mary Ellen Raymo from Massena who, until recently, has worked in the lab at the hospital . . . Our -thanks to Brqjher Frank McManus for the bang up job he did as convention chairman.
