Courier and freeman., October 30, 1969 - Chapter Honored

Delta Upsilon, a national social fraternity at Clarkson College of Technology, was selected to receive the International Sweepstakes Award as the most outstanding chapter of the year at the fraternitys national convention held recently in Columbia, Mo. The Clarkson chapter, located on 30 Elm Street, was selected from 87 chapters in the United States and Canada. The honor is based upon criteria including financial stability, pledge class, how rushing is conducted, and participation in college affairs and activities. Two of the officers of Delta Upsilon chapter at Clarkson with the International Sweepstakes Award are, Donald Emmons, left, corresponding secretary of Potsdam, and David Cermak, president of Holcomb.
