This morning started at a frosty 4°F. While the house stayed warm, our bedroom felt like an icebox, which might explain why I didn’t sleep too well last night. On days like this, thermals are a lifesaver—they keep me warm outside. But the downside? They make you sweat and stink during the day. As soon as I got home, I jumped into a hot shower, and wow, I forgot how good that feels after a long day at work. Normally, I shower in the mornings to help wake up, but this was a much-needed treat.
After the shower, I gave Rusty his meds and got to work on some updates for the stream. Big news: we’re dusting off the old public Tectuma Discord channel! It’s been sitting idle for far too long, so it’s about time we bring it back to life. If you haven’t joined yet, keep an eye out—we’ll share more about it soon.
For dinner tonight, we’re keeping it simple with cold-cut sandwiches. My kids are sandwich pros; they make them better than anything you’d find in a store! Stacie was happy to find a rose waiting for her when I got home, and my youngest surprised me with a handmade nameplate for my desk—it made my day.
On stream tonight, I’ll be giving text-to-video AI one last shot (or at least until I run out of credits). Honestly, it doesn’t feel quite ready for what I need, but we’ll see. After that, I’ll check out some new stream settings and maybe dive back into Subnautica Below Zero. Oh, and don’t expect me to dress up—I’ll be streaming in my PJs after that amazing shower.
