Cold Days, Warm Connections, and Progress on Our Stream

Embracing the North Country Winter

When I left work today, it was a balmy 24°F—yes, I’m being sarcastic! The chill in the air still made it feel freezing. On my way home, I spotted a beaver and an owl, but I couldn’t capture a photo of either. I tried with the beaver, but it darted into the woods too quickly.

The North Country winter paints a stark yet beautiful picture. Snow covers everything, the landscape feels barren, and signs of life seem distant. While that may sound bleak, it serves as a reminder of how essential family and friends are. There’s something special about returning to a warm house, sipping hot cocoa, and spending time with loved ones. These small comforts make the harsh winter much easier to face.

Making Progress on the Stream

I’m excited about the progress we made last night while working on our stream during a live session. We’re slowly perfecting the go-live process. It still takes me some time to get everything ready, but with each stream, I’m getting faster and more efficient. The effort is paying off, and it feels great to see the results.

Updates from the Home Front

At home, things are settling down a bit. Nicks’ (our oldest) hand is healing well, which is a relief. Sasha, on the other hand, still has leaking issues, but we’ve got a vet appointment lined up for January 29th. Rusty has been seeking extra attention lately, and I think it’s because of the hotdogs and cuddles he gets when taking his meds. He’s becoming more attached every day!

Plans for Tonight

Tonight, I’ll work on fine-tuning features in Streamer.bot. After that, we’ll leave things open—maybe some gaming or just a relaxed evening. Winter encourages flexibility, so we’re keeping things light until the weather improves or my day job calms down.

Join us tonight on https://www.twitch.tv/tectuma for updates, experiments, and some winter evening fun. To learn more about our journey, visit https://tectuma.com. Stay warm, and we’ll see you on stream!
