Why We Took a Break This Weekend
Friday evening, I got home completely exhausted. I planned to rest for a little while, but I ended up falling asleep and waking up much later than expected. By Saturday, I woke up with a fever and wasn’t feeling my best. Stacie reminded me I’d been doing too much lately and insisted I spend the weekend resting.
That’s why you didn’t see us live this weekend. I spent the entire time on the couch, sipping orange juice, eating junk food, and trying to recover. While I bought chicken noodle soup, I never got around to eating it. Sometimes, rest takes priority, even over comfort food!
Windy Weather Warnings Tonight
We’re gearing up for some intense weather tonight. A high wind warning is in effect until 1 a.m. Tuesday, with winds blowing at 25 to 35 mph and gusts reaching up to 60 mph. Judging by the noise, it already feels like those 60 mph gusts are here.
The wind is wreaking havoc—blowing drifts across roads, toppling trees, and taking out traffic signals. Many areas are without power, so if we experience streaming issues tonight, you’ll know why. Rusty isn’t a fan of the wind. When I got home, he curled up in my arms and refused to move. We’ve calmed him down now, and the rest of the pups are hiding under blankets.
This house, built in 1836, has weathered countless storms over the years. I’m confident it’s not going anywhere, but you’ll likely hear the wind howling during the stream!
Plans for Tonight’s Stream
Tonight’s stream might be a bit of a mixed bag. There are small issues I want to address, like removing some channel features I’m not happy with. Stacie seems excited to play Subnautica Below Zero, so we might jump into that as well. Either way, we’ll keep it fun and flexible as we ride out this windy weather.
