Snowy Roads, Engine Lights, and Stream Updates

Snowy Roads and Icy Adventures

This morning greeted us with about 3 inches of fresh, fluffy snow. It’s been so cold lately that the snow was light and powdery, making it easy to clear off the truck. The tricky part was getting out of the driveway, but the new tires on the truck made all the difference.

Dylan had a two-hour school delay, and after seeing the roads on the way to work, it made sense. While most of the roads were clear, some areas had snowdrifts that turned into icy patches. The worst part? You couldn’t tell where those spots were until it was too late. Driving became a game of holding your breath and hoping for the best.

Preparing for Sasha’s Vet Visit

Tomorrow I’m only working until noon so we can take Sasha to the vet. My gut tells me they might keep her overnight to get a urine sample—there’s no way we could manage it ourselves. That pup is sneaky! Ironically, a snowstorm is expected tomorrow, just like the last time we took Sasha to the vet. It’s becoming a pattern!

The Engine Light Saga

On my way home, the truck’s engine light came on. My mind immediately went to the old “idiot lights” from older vehicles, which only warned you when it was already too late. I checked all the gauges—oil, temp, battery, tire pressure—and everything looked fine. Knowing the truck’s history, something minor like an oil change could trigger the light. Unfortunately, the touch screen isn’t working due to the cold (14°F!), so I’ll have to wait for it to warm up to check the maintenance messages. If the light doesn’t turn off soon, I’ll take it to the shop.

A Pleasant Surprise and Tonight’s Plans

When I got home, I was greeted by a plowed driveway. The best part? I didn’t even contact the guy to do it! I messaged him to thank him, and he said he’d pick up payment next time. This guy is on top of things, and I’m glad to have someone so reliable.

Tonight, I’ll focus on improving our Twitch homepage. There are plenty of areas that need updates and cleanup. Tuesdays are typically slow for us, so it’s the perfect time to knock out some of this work. I also ordered more goodies off Amazon (yes, even more than what we ordered on the stream), which should arrive this and next week. I plan to share all of these with you guys during the stream, so be sure to tune in for the unboxing fun!

Join us tonight at https://www.twitch.tv/tectuma as we work on stream improvements, share updates, and maybe sneak in some gaming. For more about us, visit https://tectuma.com. Stay warm, and see you on stream!
