Streaming Server Migration: Fixing Our OBS Crash Issues
Our streaming server migration is officially underway! When I got home today, I saw that OBS had crashed again, which made last night even more frustrating since it had already crashed three times. That was the final straw—we needed to move everything to the new streaming server to stop these issues.
Of course, nothing ever goes smoothly. The migration was a total disaster and took way longer than expected. That’s why we’re going live late tonight—we’ve spent most of the evening getting everything reconfigured. Right now, we’re about 90% set up, which means the stream is at least running again. However, Rusty’s cam and the phone cam are still down, and we have a long way to go before it’s fully operational.
Streaming Server Migration Challenges and Amazon Unboxing
At least one thing went right today—our Amazon deliveries arrived just in time for the new setup. That means a good old-fashioned unboxing before we start integrating the new gear into the stream.
As if today wasn’t chaotic enough, I also had to fix a dresser after work. Why not add another project to the pile? LOL.
Tonight’s Stream: A Messy Test Run After the Migration
After all these streaming server migration headaches, we’re still going live tonight. Expect technical hiccups, missing features, and plenty of troubleshooting, but the show must go on.
Looking forward to getting back on track, testing the new setup, and seeing how everything holds up. See you soon!
